We have the two Scout Troops that follow the same programme but meet on separate evenings they are very active Troop and look to try and learn many new skills to enable our Scouts to be awarded with the Chief Scout Gold Award before they move onto Explorers.
We do our activities across our two sites with Spring and Summer being at Avening Green and Autumn and Winter at our Cromhall Hq, the Scouts go on day visits, many activities on and around the river plus they attend the annual St George’s day and Remembrance Day Service a Group Christmas Carol Service. The Scouts actively support our three main community Charity events being Charfied Summer Fate, Cromhall Flower Show and the Wotton Charities Fayre.
Scouts are at the age where they can experience the true adventure that scouting has to offer – from arts and crafts in the meeting place to climbing, hiking, raft building, map reading, pioneering, knots, axe and saw safety, fire lighting, making bivvies’, outdoor cooking, crafts, problem solving, games. Camping 2-3 times a year and many more!
Scouts work in Patrols and are at an age where they are expected to work within a team or as an individual within Patrols with light hand supervision and guidance from their leaders of course.
We aim to give scouts a wide range of experiences so they can learn some new skills by accident along the way.
The Scouts work hard for their badges so please sew them onto their uniform as soon as possible.

More information about the badge scheme can be found on the scouts.org.uk website.
