About Cubs

Cubs is the second section in the scouting family, after beavers and before scouts.  A cub is typically 8-10½ years old.

What do Cubs do?

We have the two Cub Packs that follow the same programme but meet on separate evenings they are very active Packs and try to do as many different activities as possible to enable our Cubs to be awarded with the Chief Scout Silver Award before they move onto Scouts.

We do our activities across our two sites with Spring and Summer being at Avening Green and Autumn and Winter at our Cromhall Hq, we go on day visits, activities on and around the river we attend the annual St George’s day and Remembrance Day Service a Christmas Carol Service and Treat e.g. bowling. The Cubs also actively support our three main community Charity events being Charfied Summer Fate, Cromhall Flower Show and the Wotton Charities Fayre.

Badges

The cubs take part in many activities that work towards badges – when they are awarded one, please sew it onto the uniform as soon as possible.
