50th Anniversary Camp

Dear Beavers, Cubs, Scouts & Parents

BEAVERS, CUBS & SCOUTS
We’re excited to invite you to a special Group Camping Weekend to celebrate 50 years of 1st Woodend Scout Group!

Dates: From 18:00 PM on Friday 12th September to 14:00pm Sunday 14th September
Location: Woodhouse Park Activity Centre, Fern Hill, Almondsbury BS32 4LX

Cost: £20 per person – the group will be covering the remaining costs to make this a memorable event for everyone. Please confirm if you will be attending, either Yes or No to 1stwoodendscouts@gmail.com so that we have an idea of numbers.

Accommodation: Beavers and younger Cubs will be staying in the Training Centre (building). Older Cubs and Scouts will be camping outdoors (tents).

This promises to be a fantastic weekend full of fun, adventure, and celebration. We’d love to see as many of you there as possible to mark this milestone together.

Booking Deadline: ASAP or at the latest Saturday 31st August.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
We’re also looking for some adults to join us for the weekend to both see how the group works, help manage the event and have some fun. All you will need to do, in advance, is to complete a Scouting DBS check. We’d be very grateful for your support. Please let us know ASAP!.

PARENTS & SIBLINGS
We have not forgotten you! To also celebrate the Group’s birthday we would like to invite you to lunch time refreshments at 12:30pm on the Sunday as well as participating in the Group’s review of the year and AGM. The AGM will start circa 13:15 and will finish at the 14:00 close of camp. AGM papers will be emailed out to all in advance of the camp to help speed up the whole process. Please can you email us with your numbers and any dietary requirements before the event.
